Depending on how you are approaching your life and managing your time, you are either preparing yourself for success – or you are preparing yourself for failure.
I honestly believe people have the will to succeed. I do not doubt that for a moment. But, I think the real reason more people aren’t successful is NOT because they do not want to be successful. They do. In fact, I would submit that the reason more people are not successful is because some people are not properly preparing themselves for success! I believe the following paragraph shares a most valuable “key” for preparing for success.
“The will to win is important. But the will to win is not worth a nickel unless you also have the will to prepare!”
~ Rick Pitino
To prepare yourself for success, you must seek beneficial relationships with winners who are excited and have a purpose; instead of associating with losers who get jealous if you start doing better than them. You must cultivate trusting and enduring relationships with mentors who can help you reach a new level of achievement. You must let go of people who are holding you back. You must continually cultivate new relationships with people who will challenge you to break out of your comfort zone and grow. As cited above: “The will to win is important. But the will to win is not worth a nickel unless you also have the will to prepare.”
The Question: Are you preparing for success or failure?
